Korean Air and Delta Air Lines celebrated the fifth year of their joint venture partnership by participating in a home repair project in Calauan, the Philippines. The project involved repairing dilapidated and vandalised houses in a resettlement site built by Habitat for Humanity for low-income families affected by Typhoon Ondoy in 2009. The companies worked together to repaint homes, conduct minor carpentry work and repair windows and doors. This partnership is not the first community service project the airlines have undertaken together. They have previously worked on building homes in Los Angeles and planting trees in Mongolia. Korean Air has been involved in home-building projects as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts since 2013 in Quezon City, the Philippines.
