Virgin Atlantic has launched a codeshare agreement with Korean Air, allowing customers to travel directly to Incheon airport in Seoul, South Korea, with onward connections to Japan, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand. This move is expected to boost Virgin Atlantic’s presence in Asia, particularly since the airline plans to resume services to Shanghai from May. Flying Club members can earn and redeem Virgin Points through the partnership and benefit from SkyPriority services at Seoul Incheon. However, passengers flying on Korean Air aircraft under a Virgin code will not be able to access the Clubhouse at Heathrow. Virgin Atlantic has also been granted permission to operate between London Heathrow and Seoul’s Incheon International airport but the service cannot be launched in the near future due to certain requirements needing to be met.
