Korean Air is set to resume flights to four major European cities this spring for the first time since the onset of the pandemic. The airline will be flying to Zurich, Prague, Madrid and Istanbul, in response to growing demand for overseas travel. The carrier has already resumed flights to Zurich and Prague, with routes to Madrid and Istanbul opening later this month. All flights will be between Incheon International Airport and the European cities three times a week. The airline said that these cities were popular among Koreans, with Prague serving as a gateway to other eastern European countries, while Zurich’s proximity to the Alps made it a favorite with skiers. Istanbul and Madrid also offered cultural amenities and cuisines. The hope is that the resumption of flights represents a proactive approach to meeting rising demand for overseas travel.
