HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — If you have a relative who lives in the continental U.S. or Hawaii, who you haven’t seen in a while because of the high cost of travel, now is the time to let them know that they can come home in time to celebrate Guam’s 80th Liberation with discounted airfares from United Airlines.
“Some CHamorus haven’t been home for over 50 years. The steep cost of travel have discouraged the return home for thousands of our people. Very few who witnessed the liberation are still alive. The excitement is palpable,” Guam Visitors Bureau President Carl Gutierrez told The Guam Daily Post on Sunday.
The campaign called, “Homecoming” was developed through the partnership of GVB and United, to target the 150,000 Guamanians and Micronesians residing stateside.
