A six-year-old girl was left ‘scarred and disfigured’ after an in-flight meal covered her in burns.
The girl’s parents have filed a lawsuit against United Airlines, and are suing the company for $75,000.
The child, known as O.F, was on the flight from Israel to New Jersey in July 2022.
A flight attendant handed the girl’s mother a meal tray, who placed it on the fold-down tray table in front of her child.
But the lawsuit claims the tray table was defective and slanting down, meaning the meal slid off and landed in the girl’s lap.
‘The food contents on O.F.’s meal tray were unreasonably hot and caused O.F. to suffer severe burn injuries,’ the lawsuit alleged.
