A United Airlines flight from London to Newark, United States has been diverted to Bangor, Maine due to “life-threatening behaviour” on board.
The flight from London to New York declared an emergency due to an unruly passenger on board the flight. United Airlines flight UA883 was confirmed to have diverted to Maine instead of its New York destination.
UA883 departed from London Heathrow at 08:18am and made the cross over the Atlantic but was stopped short of its destination after an on-board emergency was declared. A rapid descent was made and a 7700 squawk code was issued by crew.
