A United Airlines passenger who was sitting in first-class has apparently filed a lawsuit after she was sexually assaulted by a passenger who had one too many drinks.
The crew on the flight allegedly served the man in question at least nine vodka and orange juice beverages, according to the lawsuit obtained by the New York Post. The alleged incident took place on October 2 of last year, and the lawsuit was filed in a Colorado court on Wednesday.
The 51-year-old female victim — who has not been named — was apparently seated in 1A, which was right next to the alleged perpetrator, who has also not been identified. During the first half-hour of the flight, the report noted that the two had a “pleasant conversation.”
The complaint went on to say that “[h]owever, once in-flight, the Assailant requested drink after drink,” primarily vodka and orange juice. The constant request for more drinks “caused United’s flight attendant to grow frustrated” with the situation.
