United Airlines has announced a collaboration with Impossible Foods to finally offer a variety of new plant-based meals on flights. Impossible Meatball bowls are now being offered on the first-class menu for domestic flights traveling over 800 miles within the United States. Some airport lounges in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and Newark will also begin serving Impossible plant-based sausage in their breakfast buffets and as an add-in for omelets.

Aaron McMillan, the Managing Director of Hospitality and Planning for United, said, “We want our food offerings to evolve and change along with people’s preferences—we’re proud to work with Impossible Foods and think our customers are really going to love these new options.”

Delta Airlines recently also began working with Impossible Foods to add vegan and vegetarian options to their menu. Some flights traveling over 900 miles will now be offered plant-based meals for first-class and business class passengers, including Impossible Burger, a vegan lamb, and Impossible Meatballs.
