United Airlines plans to fly even more friendly skies as it expands service out of Denver International Airport this summer to a level it hasn’t reached in more than 20 years, the company announced Thursday.
Airline officials said the company will ramp up to more than 500 daily departures from Denver come summertime, the most of any carrier flying out of DIA.
To get to 500 daily departures, United said it will add 40 new summer flights — many of which are to locations where Denverites can have outdoor adventures. United says it sees Denver as a major gateway to National Parks.
The airline is adding an additional flight per day to mountain towns like Vail, Sun Valley, Kalispell/Glacier in Montana — and five new daily nonstop flights to the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport — starting in mid-May.
