South Australian Tourism Minister, Zoe Bettison was also there to help with the ribbon cutting ceremony.
“It is terrific to have Vietjet now flying into Adelaide, the first Vietnamese airline to include our city as a regular destination – opening up significant opportunities for South Australia. Today’s milestone means more flights and more opportunities for our state.”
With team mascots, cake and flowers for the passengers on the inaugural flight, there was a sense of celebration. Similar scenes were seen at Perth airport, where the plane takes on additional passengers for the final leg to Ho Chi Minh City.
