Vietnamese low-cost carrier Vietjet has launched non-stop flights connecting Melbourne and Sydney to Ho Chi Minh City, with Brisbane set to join in from June 16. The airline’s Airbus A330s offer a premium cabin called ‘Skyboss Business’, which includes 12 leather seats that fold out into an older-style angled flatbed, and comes with perks such as 40kg of checked baggage and 18kg carry-on, along with lounge access, priority check-in and complimentary meals. While Vietjet’s Melbourne connections are currently three times a week, the airline plans to eventually boost this to daily by December 2024. The carrier also offers connections to other Australian cities including Darwin and Adelaide.
