Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company has reported strong financial performance in Q1/2023 driven by the stable domestic flight operation and expansion of its international network. The company’s air transport revenue grew by 286% YoY to reach VND12.88tn ($553m), while ancillary revenue was reported as VND4.31tn ($185m) accounting for over 33% of the total revenue. The airline transported nearly 5.4 million passengers in the first three months of 2023, growing by 75% YoY, while its air cargo volume rose by 20% YoY. Vietjet’s consolidated revenue and after-tax profit was VND12.9tn ($554m) and VND173bn ($7.4m) respectively. The airline has introduced 10 new routes in Q1/2023, bringing the total number of routes to 105 and has set major targets to grow strongly in the aviation and tourism industries in 2023. Vietjet is also eyeing up to offer consumption services on an e-commerce platform and accelerate digital business to bring satisfaction and satisfaction experiences to the customers.
