Vietnam’s budget airline Vietjet signed a cooperation agreement with F Air of the Czech Republic at the Czech-Vietnam Business Forum in Hanoi on April 21st. The deal aims to develop basic pilot training programmes and train pilots for Vietjet and the regional aviation industry. Vietjet’s Deputy CEO Luong The Phuc stated that the collaboration is part of the airline’s plans to expand and train high-quality aviation human resources (especially pilots) to meet the demands of the sector. Vietjet Aviation Academy (VJAA) will team up with F Air to facilitate this effort. VJAA has a modern European-standard facility that provides training programmes for pilots, cabin crews, engineers, mechanics, and aviation staff. The cooperation between Vietjet and F Air will help to prepare Vietnamese carrier high-quality human resources, meet industry development demands as well as expand cooperation with European partners. Vietjet is an IATA member with the IOSA certificate, has been awarded the highest ranking for safety with 7 stars, listed as one of the world’s 50 best airlines for healthy financing and operations, and has been named as the Best Low-Cost Carrier by various travel organizations.
