Vietjet is adding flights between Sydney and Hanoi to its growing Australian network, in direct competition to rival Vietnam Airlines.
In addition to VietJetās daily flights from Sydney to Ho Chi Minh City, the twice-weekly service to Hanoi will operate twice a week from 8 June.
- flight VJ96 will depart Sydney every Thursday and Sunday at 8:30am, arriving in Hanoi at 4pm the same day
- flight VJ95 is wheels-up from Hanoi on Tuesday and Sunday at 5:10pm time, reaching Sydney at 6:10am the following day
These flights follow the 3 June launch of twice-weekly flights between Melbourne and Hanoi.
Although Vietjet is broadly considered a low-cost carrier, its international Airbus A330s do offer a premium business class cabin.
However, this is not quite business class as you know it: the 12 leather seats recline into an older-style angled flatbed.
