Since delivery in March 2020, Vistara’s Dreamliners have been the most exciting aircraft in the market. With 299 seats onboard, the plane offers three classes, business, premium economy, and economy. Here’s a look at the best seats in each cabin.
Business
Starting from the front, Vistara’s business class comes with 30 seats in a 1-2-1 layout. The seats are staggered in layout, meaning that some windows seats are closer to the aisle while the others are true window seats. Similarly, window seats alternate between ‘honeymoon’ seats right next to each other and those spaced out by the console.
The best seats for window lovers and solo passengers are seats A and K in Rows 2, 4, 6, and 8. These offer extra privacy thanks to the aisle-side console and offer stunning window views through the flight. If you’re traveling with someone, it depends on how close you want to be through the flight. Odd-numbered rows (1, 3, 5, 7) offer two seats right next to each other, with the consoles near the aisle, while even-numbered rows give you more room from your neighbor. If traveling alone and you’re out of window seats, definitely choose the latter.

Row 1 seats are also bulkhead seats, which offer a larger foot cubby and are more rooms since there is no seat ahead. However, since these are used for bassinets, you may have to move if a traveler with an infant requests it. Overall, a true window seat is the best bet on Vistara’s 787-9, a review of which you can read here!.
Premium economy
Vistara offers 21 premium economy seats on its 787, the first Indian carrier to do so. These come in a standard 2-4-2 layout, featuring 38″ in pitch. Row 1 offers more legroom so that’s a good pick if you’re tall or like to stretch out. However, the downsides are that there is no seatback screen and no storage during takeoff or landing. The…
