Wizz Air has launched the She Can Fly program to train female pilots. The program is open to women above the age of 18 who have no previous experience in piloting. The course will begin with theoretical knowledge and skills, after which a select number of students will be invited to take their advanced training at the Wizz Air airline. The program aims to help trainees pursue a career in aviation by offering them a job at Wizz Air upon completion. Candidates must pay an initial fee of €800 and then pay a total of over €60,000 over six years after passing the pilot’s license exam. The training program is expected to take 18 months, and it has been developed in partnership with the Trener flight academy in Hungary. Currently, only 5% of commercial pilots worldwide are women.
