Wizz Air’s (WIZZ) half-year profits dropped by over a fifth as the low-cost airline continued to struggle with groundings of its Airbus planes due to issues with engines made by Pratt & Whitney.
Defects with the aerospace manufacturer’s geared turbofan (GTF) engines have necessitated plane inspections and part replacements. While Wizz Air is receiving compensation, this hasn’t offset the damage.
