British Airways is trying to lure new cabin crew members to Stansted and Heathrow airports with a £1,000 ‘golden handshake’ in an effort to fill staff gaps. Half of the bonus is to be paid after three months, and the other £500 will be available when recruits complete six months of employment.
The latest recruiting campaign from BA is open to people who have already had their security checks and basic training, so that they are able to start work quickly, ideally before the July peak. The BA careers website is at the moment advertising for cabin crew at Heathrow, but the ad stipulates that applicants must have an airside ID for either Heathrow or Stansted Airport – as well as hold an Attestation.
