Unfortunately, most websites and online environments weren’t originally designed with the unique needs of people with disabilities in mind. People navigating the internet and online tools with impaired hearing, vision, cognitive skills, motor skills, and other disabilities face digital barriers that others don’t tend to think about – but it doesn’t have to be this way. That’s why Amadeus is taking steps to make our travel and expense tool, Cytric Easy, more accessible for everyone.
As a guideline for our efforts, we’re aiming to meet the requirements laid out by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (or WCAG for short). The WCAG standards are all about ensuring that online tools are perceivable (easy to see or hear), operable (with voice or typing), understandable (with clear and simple language) and robust (compatible with assistive tools for people with disabilities).
