Sabre Corp has named Otto Gergye as new VP and regional general manager for North Asia travel solutions for airline sales.
Gergye will oversee all Sabre’s airline operations in the region and has two decades’ aviation and travel industry experience.
He joins Sabre from Qantas where he was most recently Asia general manager of commercial sales performance.
He also held positions at British Airways and KLM.
He is tasked with exploring new business opportunities and expanding Sabre’s presence in this fast-growing region.
“Having worked at a number of airlines himself, he is well-placed to strengthen existing relationships and grow new ones to further cement Sabre’s position,” said Darren Rickey, Sabre’s SVP of travel solutions in regional sales and accounts.
Gergye is based at Sabre’s APAC headquarters in Singapore.
