Vietnam Airlines has announced it will use Sabre Corporation’s network planning and optimisation technology to support its goals for global growth.
Currently, the airline flies nearly 100 routes to 22 domestic and 31 international locations, including direct flights to France, Germany, and the UK, and has recently added routes to the US, Germany, India, Italy, and the Philippines. It is also set to add more destinations across Europe, the US, Canada, Australia, and Asia.
The Vietnam flag carrier will deploy: Sabre’s Fleet Manager, which will allow it to match capacity and aircraft type with demand; its Profit Manager, to accurately forecast and maximise network profitability; the Network Manager, to reach hub optimisation and enhance codeshare planning; and the Schedule Manager, which will deliver revenue-driven schedules across its network.
The airline already distributes its fares and offers through Sabre’s global travel marketplace.
