French hospitality group Accor has announced that more than 200 hotels across its Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) network have now achieved eco-certification.
This achievement accounts for more than 50% of the company’s regional portfolio. According to Accor, over 190 hotels have earned the Sustainable Tourism Certification from Ecotourism Australia.
In addition, more than 20 hotels have received the Gold Sustainable Tourism Business Certification from Qualmark New Zealand.
Accor further stated that more than 70 additional hotels across ANZ are currently in the process of obtaining eco-certification.
This progress aligns with the group’s global goal of achieving full eco-certification across its network by 2026.
