Airbnb is offering free housing to Greater Cincinnati residents affected by the area’s recent disruptive floods.
Airbnb.org, a nonprofit founded by Airbnb to provide emergency housing in times of crisis, is working with the United Way of Greater Cincinnati to provide free, temporary housing to displaced residents “in communities devastated by historic flooding in Ohio,” the company announced Monday. Stays are free for guests and fully funded by Airbnb.org and its donors.
Airbnb also waives all service fees for Airbnb.org hosts and guests.
Per the release, United Way will help identify residents in need of emergency housing and refer them to Airbnb.org for free stays. Residents can request temporary housing support or other services by calling United Way of Greater Cincinnati at 211.
