Airbnb has announced that it is relaunching its inventory of individual rooms, rebranding it as Airbnb Rooms. The move is intended to stress affordability and human connection, with the curated selection of over one million private rooms designed to deliver access to shared spaces, such as kitchens, lounges and gardens. The relaunch also includes a new “Host Passport” feature, aimed at helping users connect with their prospective hosts. More than 80% of the private rooms on the platform are priced at under $100 per night, with the average according to Airbnb being $67 per night.
