Airbnb has warned its hosts in Liverpool not to raise prices on existing bookings related to the Eurovision Song Contest. The company said that it was taking steps to prevent hosts from cancelling existing bookings and raising prices. The contest, which is being held on behalf of war-torn Ukraine, is expected to attract 150,000 visitors. All tickets have been sold for the event, which runs from 9-13 May. Only 84 hotels are currently located within Liverpool’s city centre. Airbnb has partnered with Visit Liverpool to encourage more hosts to rent their properties for the event.
