Mussoorie: Severe traffic congestion, along with a rise in hotel occupancy, was seen across Mussoorie and Nainital, following a sudden surge in tourist arrivals, owing to the long weekend and Holi celebrations, causing inconvenience to both visitors as well as locals.
President of Mussoorie hotel association, Sanjay Aggarwal, said hotel bookings have soared since Thursday. “We had about 60% hotel occupancy on Thursday, which rose to around 80% on Friday and Saturday,” he said.
