A Cotswold manor house hotel set in a 60-acre estate and dating back to the early 1300s is hoping that planners back its bid to expand as part of a repackage – and new retail offer – for the venue.
As a regular stopoff for poet and novelist TS Elliot, the four-star Charingworth Manor, in the north Cotswolds hamlet of Ebrington, is now part of Manchester-based Madfabulous Hotels Ltd and, as reported in October 2024 , is seeking permission from Cotswold District Council for internal and external changes, as well as a small extension to its spa room and pool to form a function room.

A replacement of its conservatory with a new extension, additional car parking and associated landscaping are also in the pipeline for the building, part…
