Digital travel platform Agoda highlights in a survey that hotels across Asia should embrace the travel trends of Asian Gen Z to secure future success.
The survey identified five travel habits of Gen Z aged 18-27: relying on social media for inspiration, embracing spontaneity, traveling in pairs, prioritizing budget-friendly trips, and a shared passion for wanderlust.
This is the first generation to grow up with the internet and is gaining spending power, with Neilsen’s Spend Z report predicting US$12 trillion (HK$93.6 trillion) growth by 2030, said Andrew Smith, senior vice president of supply at Agoda.
