The central city of Da Nang led the list of most searched cities by American travelers early this year, with a remarkable year-on-year growth of 1,538%, according to online travel platform Agoda.
Tokyo, which held the top spot last year, dropped to second place, followed by Bangkok, Manila, and Seoul, based on Agoda’s accommodation search data for January 2025.
Known for its long, sandy beaches, Da Nang is home to popular attractions such as My Khe Beach and Son Tra Peninsula, as well as adventure activities like paragliding and jet skiing.
The city is also famous for its international fireworks festival held every summer.
Last year, Vietnam was the most searched country by American tourists, with a year-on-year growth of 174%, Agoda reported.
