Digital travel platform Agoda introduces the most popular travel destinations you can meet along the recently opened East Sea Mid-Line Railway.
Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province, topped the list of most searched destinations among domestic travelers, followed by Uljin, North Gyeongsang Province, Samcheok, Gangwon Province, and Yeongdeok, North Gyeongsang Province.
The Donghae Jungbu Line, which opened on Jan. 1, 2025, connects the East Coast travel destinations leading to Gangwon Province and North Gyeongsang Province.
Accommodation searches for March trips in Yeongdeok and Uljin rose 52 percent and 19 percent year-on-year, respectively, according to data from accommodation searches after the opening of the East Sea Central Line, compiled on the Agoda platform. Yeongdeok showed the highest growth rate among all stations across the East Sea Line.
