A “bomb site” hotel in Bristol has been removed from the booking site, Booking.com, after a family fled minutes after arriving due to the dirty and unsafe conditions. The family, who had saved up for three months to go on a mini-break, were greeted with room doors with holes punched in them, filthy carpets, and a damaged ceiling. They were further alarmed when they discovered a door leading to a fire escape had been left propped open with a concrete block. The family immediately left the hotel for their own safety and searched for alternative accommodation. The hotel was subsequently removed from Booking.com after the family raised a complaint. The website stated that they take such matters seriously and that the hotel will be subject to an ongoing investigation.
