This figure makes the Barcelona half marathon the 21,097 km race with the highest number of participants in Spain, and the second highest at European level.
Besides this historic figure, this year’s edition also stands out for its high number of international runners, with 40% of 98 nationalities represented, and for the presence of more women than ever before – 9,800 in total, meaning that 35% of participants will be women.
In order to offer a better service to the runners, and to accommodate the high number of participants this year, the starting point for the event has been moved to Passeig Picasso. The finishing line remains in Passeig Pujades.
In the sports section, the eDreams Half Marathon Barcelona by Brooks 2024 will include a line-up of elite top-level runners.
