The registration period for the half marathon, the eDreams Mitja Marató Barcelona by Brooks 2025, closed having sold 30,000 race bibs, beating its own participation record for the second year in a row. Organised by Barcelona City Council and RPM SPORTS, the run of 21,097 metres has become consolidated as the biggest in Spain in its category and the one with the second highest number of runners in Europe, surpassed only by the Berlin half marathon.
This new record exceeds the 28,235 registered runners from last year, with more than 2,000 more participants compared to 2024.
This success reaffirms the eDreams Mitja Marató Barcelona by Brooks as one of the most important events on the international running calendar, offering participants a unique experience over one of Europe’s fastest and most iconic circuits.
