10% back on prepaid hotels

There’s a new Amex Offer out good for 10% back at Expedia (up to $100 back). Expedia typically runs some excellent offers over the Black Friday / Cyber Monday weekend, so this could be a good stack with some of those. However, note this will only work on prepaid hotel bookings.

• A new Amex Offer is out that’s good for 10% back (up to $100 total in statement credits) at Expedia.com

Terms and Conditions

• Expires 12/19/24
• Valid only for pre-paid hotel bookings
• The terms indicate that you must book through expedia.com/amex, but in the past that wasn’t necessary (and we even heard that it was triggered by bookings through hotels.com)

Quick Thoughts

I strongly prefer flexibility over prepaid rates. However, even though this only supposed to work on hotel reservations that are paid in advance, it might not be a bad deal. The last few years, Expedia has run something like a 90% off sale on Black Friday and Cyber Monday where certain (mostly non-chain) hotels…
