Expedia Group confirms restructuring and further layoffs

US: Expedia Group has confirmed it is restructuring parts of its organisation, a move that is expected to involve further layoffs. 

The global travel technology company did not disclose further details about the number of employees affected or specific areas impacted by the changes.

Expedia group said the changes are part of a broader effort to sharpen its focus on strategic priorities and position the business for long-term growth.

A spokesperson for the company said: “As part of a broader effort to strengthen our business and position the company for long-term growth, we are restructuring parts of our organisation. These decisions are difficult but necessary as we hone our focus on strategic priorities and remain well-positioned to deliver for customers and partners.”
