Expedia Group to restructure parts of organization

Expedia Group is reorganizing certain parts of the company, the company confirmed.

“As part of a broader effort to strengthen our business and position the company for long-term growth, we are restructuring parts of our organization,” an Expedia Group spokesperson said in an emailed statement when asked about potential staff cuts.

The decisions are “difficult but necessary” as the company works to hone its focus on “strategic priorities and remain well-positioned to deliver for customers and partners,” the spokesperson said.

The company did not share any further information.

This restructuring comes on the heels of an unknown number of layoffs made by the company last month.
