Travellers from Colombo can now enjoy direct flights to Kuala Lumpur (KL) after FitsAir launched its new route, strengthening air connectivity between Sri Lanka and Malaysia.
The new route, which started on April 4, 2025, and operates four times weekly (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday), provides Colombo travellers with an additional low-cost carrier option.
This budget-friendly travel experience allows visitors to explore Malaysia’s diverse attractions, from the iconic Petronas Twin Towers to the beaches of Langkawi and the cultural heritage of Penang.
Meanwhile, the Tourism, Arts & Culture Ministry Secretary General Datuk Shaharuddin Abu Sohot said the new route by FitsAir further enhances Malaysia’s appeal as a top travel destination for Sri Lankan visitors.
“This initiative reinforces our commitment to promoting tourism in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2026,” he said.
