La Jolla Beach Among Nation’s 25 Best Of The Best, Tripadvisor Says

LA JOLLA, CA — As summer approaches, beachgoers may want to travel near the coast to experience La Jolla’s nationally-ranked beach.

With its “blue-green waters” and its “dramatic cliffs,” the La Jolla Cove is deemed one of the best beaches nationwide by travel guidance platform Tripadvisor. La Jolla landed at No. 5 among 25 beaches.

Tripadvisor recently released its 2024 Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best winners, the highest honor in travel, it says.

“It’s awarded to those who receive a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from the Tripadvisor community over a 12-month period. Out of our 8 million listings, fewer than 1% achieve this milestone,” Tripadvisor said.

The setting of La Jolla makes way for surfing, swimming, kayaking and paddle-boarding, Tripadvisor said in its ranking. The scenery lends itself to sightings of seals, sea lions and tidepools. Visitors can also stroll on the promenade under a colorful sunset.
