Tripadvisor has teamed up with the San Diego Tourism Authority and The Shipyard to create an immersive art campaign called “The Sunny Side of Things”. This promotion includes interactive murals with embedded QR codes, which will enable consumers in New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles to unlock an augmented reality experience and receive animated GIFs meant for sharing on social media. The collaboration with three different artists highlights attractions in San Diego, in particular its weather and leisure activities. This campaign was developed by Tripadvisor’s Wanderlab studio, that uses the platform’s first-party data to create more relevant ads.
