Manchester has been named among the most popular destinations in the UK, according to Tripadvisor. The city beat the likes of York, Glasgow and Brighton in the list published by the holiday review site.
It ranked fifth in the list of the country’s ten most popular destinations. London bagged the number one spot, followed by Edinburgh in second place.
Seaside favourite Blackpool came in third place on the list – unsurprisingly given how popular it is with day trippers – followed by Liverpool in fourth. The list was shared in Tripadvisor’s Summer Travel Index, which looks at a combination of search and consumer sentiment data to offer an insight into travel demand.
