Tripadvisor’s Summer Travel Index Reveals Surprising Top Destinations for 2024

Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic has always been a popular tourist destination due to its beautiful beaches. Travel statistics have increased significantly over the past year and are expected to rise further. Data from a Tripadvisor survey shows that 95% of U.S. travelers aim to travel as much or even more this summer than the last. A massive 85% of travelers prioritize “experiences” such as art, museum visits, food and wine tours, or amusement park trips. Popular international destinations include beach locations like Cancun and Caribbean islands, as well as glamorous European cities. For those who prefer domestic travel, Las Vegas is the top choice.
