1. We are the owners and publishers of The Straits Times and its online property, straitstimes.com (collectively, “ST”). The original news reports and other content published in ST constitute literary works which are protected by copyright.
2. We are also the owner of the article entitled: “‘Little Red Dot’ dreams big at Singapore Pavilion for Osaka World Expo 2025”, which we first published in ST on 16 April 2024, and is accessible via the following URL: https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/east-asia/little-red-dot-dreams-big-at-singapore-pavilion-for-osaka-world-expo-2025 (the “ST Article”).
3. It has come to our attention that a substantial part of the ST Article has been reproduced on your website accessible via https://traveltrade.today/tourism-news/singapore-tourism/news/little-red-dot-dreams-big-at-singapore-pavilion-for-osaka-world-expo-2025/ (the “Offending Page”).
4. The ST Article was substantially reproduced without our consent. Accordingly, this act infringes our copyright in the ST Article. The fact that you had provided a link to the ST Article in the Offending Page is further proof that you already have the requisite knowledge to establish such liability.
5. If we receive confirmation within 14 days of the date of this letter that you have removed or disabled access to the Offending Page, we will take no further action against you in respect of this matter.
6. If this confirmation is not received, we reserve the right to issue proceedings against you seeking relief for infringement of copyright. If proceedings become necessary (which may be issued and served without further notice to you), the remedies that may be available to us include an injunction pending trial, damages or an account of profits, legal costs and interest. In the meantime, we reserve all our rights in this matter.
