Australia keen to establish air-connectivity with Bangladesh
DHAKA, Feb 6, 2024 (BSS) – Canberra today showed keen interest to establish direct air-connectivity between Bangladesh and Australia as more than eighty thousand Bangladeshis live there.
The interest was showed as acting high commissioner of Australia to Bangladesh Nardia Simpson called on civil aviation and tourism minister Muhammad Faruk Khan at the secretariat here, a press release said.
In response, the minister said that he would mull over establishing direct air-connectivity with Australia.
Khan said there are lots of potentials in working together in the field of aviation with Australia as both nations currently have excellent bilateral ties.
The minister assured the envoy that all sorts of assistance will be provided to the Australian businessmen to invest in Bangladesh’s tourism and aviation sector.
