A two-day tourism festival is set to commence on Friday at Kuakata, with the aim of enhancing the development of the tourism industry.
In preparation for the event, the Kuakata beach area has been vibrantly decorated, featuring 60 stalls showcasing the history, traditions, and various products of Kuakata and the southern coastal region.
These stalls provide an opportunity for tourists to delve into the early history of the Barisal division.
The festival will feature Rakhine cultural events, puppet dances, baul songs, lantern festivals, beach volleyball, pitha festivals, and kite festivals.
Organized by the Bangladesh Tourism Board and the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, such festivals are held in every division to spotlight the iconic destinations, traditional and cultural heritage, and regional diversity of Bangladesh for both the global audience and the nation’s residents.
