Hong Kong welcomed 12.2 million visitors in the first quarter of the year, a 9 per cent increase over the same period in 2024, due largely to a spate of mega-events in March, the Tourism Board said on Monday.
Last month alone, the number of arrivals jumped 12 per cent year on year to 3.82 million amid the city’s first “Super March” campaign, which included events such as the pop culture showcase ComplexCon, the Hong Kong Sevens rugby tournament, art fairs Art Basel and Art Central, and the LIV Golf Hong Kong competition.
