The Hong Kong Tourism Board announced that they will present a fireworks show over Victoria Harbour on Labour Day (May 1), with the Immigration Department anticipating about six million tourists throughout the long holidays.
According to the announcement made today by the Board, the fireworks show will begin at 8 pm on May 1 at Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade Gardens and last about 10 minutes, with the fireworks being released from a barge 130 meters offshore.
Golden sparks will be a major part of the show, while giant “HK” characters and happy smiley faces will also brighten up the sky.
The fireworks will be combined with the “Symphony of Lights” show to offer the public a multifold excitement.
The Immigration Department (ImmD) estimated that there will be around 5.9 million people entering and leaving Hong Kong throughout the Labour Day Golden Week, with May 1 expecting the maximum number of tourists at around one million.
