Ahead of the mainland’s five-day May 1 golden week holiday, the Hong Kong Tourism Board has seized the opportunity to launch a wide range of promotional campaigns.
Apart from preparing a 10-minute pyrotechnic show over Victoria Harbour on Labor Day, the board has also launched a dedicated website to provide visitors and the public with one-stop information and stepped up promotions in the mainland.
The board expects the pyrotechnic show to enrich the experience of tourists and locals and stimulate local consumption.
It will begin at 8pm on Wednesday at Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade Gardens, with the pyrotechnics to be released from a barge 130 meters offshore.
Golden sparks will be a major part of the show, while giant “HK” characters and smiley faces will brighten the sky, together with the Symphony of Lights show.
