Cruise passengers had earlier complained about long waiting times for buses and taxis as well as the lack of options.
During a Legislative Council panel meeting, tourism sector lawmaker Perry Yiu urged the government to provide more options for incoming cruise passengers, while Starry Lee of the DAB said the existing four to five bus routes were not enough to accommodate people visiting the cruise terminal.
In response, Yeung said the government had allocated around HK$1 million to implement short-term measures to solve the problems.
He also said the authorities will make necessary adjustments for each cruise arrival to ensure a smooth experience for passengers.
