Even as the Agra tourism industry struggles for its survival due to negligible tourist traffic last year in view of Covid-19 pandemic, entry to the Taj Mahal is again set to become dearer for tourists.
In the wake of dropping revenues from the Taj Mahal, due to the monument’s closure post-Covid-19 outbreak for almost 100 days and the subsequent low tourist traffic throughout the season, the Agra Development Authority has decided to raise the entry ticket prices for both domestic and foreign tourists by Rs. 30 and Rs. 100, respectively.
