The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, in partnership with the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) and the Gujarat government, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cruise tourism in Madhya Pradesh, as reported

Two floating piers, also known as pontoons, have been transported from Kolkata to Kukshi in the state.
The proposed cruise route will start at Ekatma Dham in Omkareshwar, Madhya Pradesh, and continue to the Statue of Unity in Kevadia, Gujarat.
Under the terms of the MoU, IWAI is responsible for providing two floating piers in Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat, while the state government will develop additional infrastructure and amenities to support cruise tourism, stimulating economic growth in the area and benefiting the local community.
Cruise tourism allows visitors to immerse themselves in the local culture, traditions, lifestyle, and cuisine.
